From January 14 to 15, 2026, teachers and students of Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University hosted a high-profile event organized by the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) China Student Chapter on campus — a professional training session themed GMP & ICH. This event delivered a “knowledge feast” on pharmaceutical industry standards to the school’s master’s and doctoral student members, and it also marked the first activity since the unveiling of the ISPE China Student Chapter during the 5th anniversary celebration of Wuxi Pharma School.
Gathering of Distinguished Experts: Industry Veterans Deliver Cutting-edge Standards
The training brought together heavyweights from the sector, including ISPE globally certified instructors, seasoned experts, and pharmaceutical enterprise executives, covering two core themes: GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and ICH (International Council for Harmonization of Technical Requirements for Pharmaceuticals for Human Use).
- January 14 (GMP Special Session): Ranging from GMP Industry Fundamentals and GMP Audit Practices to Quality Management Systems and Core Principles of GMP, experts dissected key points of compliant production by incorporating practical cases from pharmaceutical enterprises.
- January 15 (ICH Special Session): Focusing on the ICH Q Series Guidelines, the session elaborated on core international registration frameworks such as Pharmaceutical Development (Q8), Quality Risk Management (Q9), and Pharmaceutical Quality System (Q10), unblocking the full-link logic of “R&D – Production – Compliance”.
